Xbit labs declares an appealing S3 Chrome S27 Graphics processor – proves to be a worthy performance of it’s class… with a combination of GPU frequency of 700Mhz, new GDDR3 memory controller, larger caches and more registers, 8 pixels and 4 vertex shaders and probably the low cost graphics processor to date, this will be a very nice alternative to it’s famous competitors (ATI’s X1300pro and NVIDIA’s 6600 with GDDR2). This card will be released into two flavors 128MB and 256MB cards with a price range of US$ 98 and US$ 128. Proven also to be an excellent choice for home multimedia center which supports HDTV in 1080p (1920x1080 pixel) as well as WMV-HD.
